Breast lift patients may soon have another option for less invasive surgery that delivers the same results with a new “internal bra” device.
A new operation promises to give women shapelier breasts without needing implants.
Doctors call it the “internal bra.” The actual product name is the “Cup & Up,” and it can improve the shape of the breasts without affecting their size and without presenting any of the common drawbacks of implants.
Created by an Israeli inventor, the device is a sort of silicone harness that features small silicone cups similar in shape to regular bra cups that a surgeon can insert underneath each breast. From there, the surgeon can fit a thin strap to each cup and then attach each strap to the ribs between the breast and the shoulder. After some tightening, this procedure can lift and shape the breasts from a sagging position, and the results, the manufacturer claims, can last for years.

The operation is said to cost less than a typical breast lift. It also reportedly doesn’t even require an overnight hospital stay.
The procedure is still in the trial testing phase, but parent company Orbix Medical is set to make it available in Europe within 18 months. Once scientific data is available on the safety and efficacy of this new technique, we look forward to giving you the real scoop on whether it works.
