Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have people talking after an interview that seemed to indicate fidelity is not required in their partnership.
After a recent interview with the Britain’s Daily Mirror, people are wondering whether Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie might be swingers.
Jolie told the paper that, “Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other. I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.”
Jolie also hinted that the couple can get in heated arguments, but that they try to keep things low-key for the kids.
“The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he’s wrong and reacts in a defiant way. Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt. We’re not violent enough for these things, and we consider our six children,” she said.
It’s not clear if these things are true or if Jolie simply enjoys shocking the press, as she has been accused of doing in the past with ex-hubby Billy Bob Thornton. The couple was notorious for making out on the red carpet at events, wearing vials of each others’ blood, and getting tattoos of each others’ names.
Angelina later had laser tattoo removal to get rid of an upper arm tattoo of a dragon and Thornton’s name. She later had the area tattooed again to further cover up the previous markings, this time with the latitude and longitude coordinates of each of her adopted children’s birthplaces.
A break-up could be easier on the star this time, however, because although Brad and Angie have been an item for several years, they remain unmarried and so far sport no body ink of the other’s moniker.
