Avril Lavigne lyrics generally put her against heartbreak and the guys who cause it. Currently, though, the rocker may have cause to sing the blues of divorce.
Avril Lavigne is set to divorce Deryck Whibley, Sum 41 singer and husband for three years. Citing irreconcilable differences, Lavigne has reportedly requested court action to prevent her near-ex from getting alimony. Still, according to statements she released on her Web site, the split won’t be acrimonious.
“I’m grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship,” she said. “I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note.”
Lavigne, only 25 now, has been in the public eye since her 2002 debut Let’s Go. She is at work right now on a fourth album, and it’s anyone’s guess how much the current divorce will influence her output. But, despite her youth, the image-driven rock starlet has already been subject of speculation about possible plastic surgery.
She reportedly did undergo a rhinoplasty, which didn’t go unnoticed. “Her old nose was too short and bulbous,” MakeMeHeal.com quoted New York City plastic surgeon Dr. George Lefkovits. “The new nose has better balance and proportion. The tip is more refined.”
It also looks like Lavigne may have had breast augmentation – possibly from an A cup to a C cup. MakeMeHeal.com offered this buzz in 2008, offering comparison photos. It’s also possible that recently, she has worn clothing that better accentuates what she naturally has.
In any event, her success proves that her looks match her talent. She’ll soon be officially single, and won’t have trouble finding new company.
