Beyonce Knowles can consider herself a history-maker – the most successful female musician in the annals of the Grammys, according to the Associated Press and other sources.
On January 31, Knowles won six Grammy awards out of the 10 she’d been nominated for. Her wins were in the categories of Best R&B Song, Best Contemporary R&B Album, Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Song of the Year.
Country star Taylor Swift came close to this achievement, nabbing four Grammys of her own, but Knowles walked away with a bigger bundle of trophies.
“I would like to thank my family for this,” Knowles said in an acceptance speech. “I would like to thank the fans for the support.”
This avalanche of awards follows a career in the spotlight that spans back to 1997, when Knowles was only 16.
She’s only 28 now, but even still, has seemingly undergone some notable cosmetic changes. It isn’t that she has altered her image; it’s more that she has made enhancements. Rumors of breast augmentation, plus rhinoplasty, were the focus of a 2008 story in MakeMeHeal.com that offered comparison photos. They show that her cleavage has varied a bit since 2002. And based on other pics, Knowles developed a thinner looking nose during her time with group Destiny’s Child – and this, too, was likely a stroke of plastic surgery, not nature.
