Botox Injections Possibly Pain-Free

Botox may become pain-free thanks to a new spray called vapo-coolant. Watch this week’s Plastic Surgery News to find out more.

Some plastic surgeons are now using what’s called vapo-coolant.

This spray has the effect of ice, and instantly numbs an area for a few seconds during an injection of Botox or cosmetic filler.

The effect only lasts a few seconds, but the new spray provides an alternative to numbing cream, which can take up to 40 minutes to kick in and then last for hours after the injection.

Sources say this new product can have medical applications beyond plastic surgery. But right now, at least, some Botox patients can get their touch-ups without pain and more quickly than ever. Video plays below.
