“Boob Job Bandit” Caught in Orange County
Sources say 30-year-old Yvonne Pampellone, tagged as “The Boob Job Bandit,” faces charges of identity theft, grand theft and commercial burglary.
She allegedly visited the Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery in Huntington Beach, California, this past September and bought $12,000 worth of services under a fake name using a stolen credit card. The services included liposuction and breast augmentation, replacing her old implants with a new pair. Pacific Center staff began to suspect Pampellone only after she failed to return for follow-up visits.
Authorities determined her true identity by looking at the barcode numbers on the previous implants that she left behind.
She’s actually the second woman to be arrested in California’s Orange County this year for fraud related to plastic surgery.
Two clinics in Newport Beach fell prey to an unidentified woman who used fake names in receiving injections of Botox and dermal filler before skipping out early and leaving doctors with a bill of several thousand dollars.
Pampellone is now out on $20,000 bail, with an arraignment set for May 27.
