Spa Sues Plastic Surgeon for Secret Stripper Surgeries
What happens in Vegas… can get you in a heck of a lot of trouble. Such is the case of retired Sin City plastic surgeon Dr. Charles Vinnik and his wife Nancy, a registered nurse and employee of an area medical spa.
They are facing a lawsuit filed by their erstwhile employer and owner of the spa for running a clandestine cash-and-carry cosmetic surgery operation on the premises over the course of several years.
According to the complaint filed by spa owner Tracy Hurst, Vinnik and his wife had opened the spa after ordinary business hours to a clique of clients, offering them cut-rate Botox, laser and photofacial work, breast augmentations and other cosmetic surgery. The couple’s take-home? A cool $30,000 a day.
Hurst had no idea her property was being used as an after-hours clinic until a patient complained about the Vinniks. Her subsequent complaint alleges interference with her business, breach of contract, repeated trespassing, and unauthorized use of the facility’s state-of-the-art surgical suite on the Vinnik’s cash-only clientele of barmaids, strippers, and others for whom a nip here and tuck there could help score an extra few C-notes down on the Strip.
The Vinniks’ attorney is asserting the couple’s innocence, characterizing the allegations as “absolutely preposterous”. Barring settlement, it appears that a court will ultimately decide the outcome of this game.
