Form stable breast implants — also known as gummy bear implants — may provide patients with a more natural breast shape and less risk of rupture than the silicone gel breast implants doctors currently use. In this interview from the 2009 Aesthetic Meeting of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Daniel Mills, who has been involved with the FDA clinical trials of the form stable implants for breast reconstruction surgery, explains the benefits of cohesive gel implants, and why he is optimistic about the future of these new gummy bear implants.
