Breast Implant Thief Becomes Legend

Breast implants are a much coveted asset — women often save for years to have breast augmentation surgery. But, would a woman really steal a pair of breast implants? The Myth Files investigates the legend of the Boob Job Bandit.

Women will go to great lengths to achieve the perfect body. They will forgo carbs, spend hours on the elliptical machine, squeeze themselves into support garments, and yes, even endure a Brazilian bikini wax.

For many women, breast augmentation surgery is the fulfillment of their hopes and dreams, giving them a bust that is the envy of all their friends (and garnering the attention of relative strangers). Women who choose plastic surgery to achieve bigger, fuller breasts will often say they feel more feminine, and are suddenly unashamed to wear a plunging neckline, splurge on sexy lingerie, or rock a bikini.

But, would a woman go so far as to commit Grand Theft Mammo, and steal a pair of breast implants? And, if so, just how would she get away with the heist? (After all, the evidence would be as plain as, well, the cup size on her bra.)

The latest episode of The Myth Files investigates the legend of the woman authorities dubbed the Boob Job Bandit, and explains how new technology can help docs and cops prevent a silicone heist.
