A Mexican pop star named Alejandra Guzman is urging all women to do some research before getting plastic surgery.
The singer feels strongly about the subject, having suffered an infection that left her hospitalized after undergoing buttock enhancement injections.
Guzman’s surgeon was later arrested after other patients made complaints. He reportedly had no medical degree or even cosmetology license– only a high school diploma.
Guzman, who won a Latin Grammy award in 2002, recently said that after she recovers, she will help raise awareness about the dangers of plastic surgery from unqualified surgeons.
