Ashlee Simpson, who has long since stepped out of the shadow of big-sister Jessica, is set to star in the CW drama Melrose Place. The soapy remake premiers this fall, with Ashlee playing Violet, a naïve newbie who’s just moved in. But, some wonder whether the cosmetic-surgery prone Simpson will still be recognizable by then.
New mama Ashlee Simpson, looking ravishing as a redhead these days, is moving this fall. The singer and actress will be relocating to Melrose Place, playing a small-town girl looking to make it big in La-La-Land.
In a recent interview with People, Ashlee describes her character as “a little weird,” adding, “I have a so-called innocent side, but I think it’s just the persona that I’m giving to people. I’m only setting people up. There’s a lot of jaw-droppers on the show that we obviously can’t give away but it does get crazy.”
Her on-screen drama isn’t the only thing that has the tabloids talking. Ashlee’s cosmetic surgery habits are also causing some controversy. The younger Simpson sister’s less-than-subtle rhinoplasty made headlines a couple years ago, when the budding star initially denied putting her nose under the knife. Now, 25-year-old Simpson is rumored to have had Botox injections, in addition to lip plumping, an endoscopic brow lift, and a chin reduction.
Facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif recently told MakeMeHeal.com that it looks like Ashlee’s chin is slightly broader than it used to be, leading to suspicion that she had a chin implant to create a softer look. Says Nassif, “Chin implants are often used when rhinoplasties are performed to balance out the face with the nose.”
As for Ashlee’s proboscis, from only the front angle, Nassif speculates she may have had more work done, noting that the tip and columella of Ashlee’s nose has been lifted up ever so slightly in comparison to previous photos.
Other doctors are cautioning that Ashlee should nip her surgical habit in the bud, lest she make some serious mistakes.
“I believe that Ashlee Simpson should stop having plastic surgery and fillers otherwise she might be left with permanent damage,” New York plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrell Aston told MakeMeHeal.com. “She is very young and already has undergone several procedures, such as a chin implant and rhinoplasty.”
Whether she’s injecting drama into primetime or Botox into her brow, this scintillating starlet will inevitably continue to turn heads…and provide ample grist for the rumor mill.

Why in the world does anyone care about this ditzy dame? Yes she obviously has had way too much done to her face and WHY? for what? she is no talent, no nothing, maybe if she was talented would there be this NEED to have all this silly shit done to her face, but for what? Sounds like 100py is a bit jealous hum….could this 100py actually be another celeb talkin’ trash about lil’ Miss Ashley? I wonder who it could be? Paris? Nicole? or maybe Lindsey….Well whoever it is don’t feel so threatened by her stunning new good looks, remember it is not at all natural it is artificial beauty. Anyway, she seems like a sweet enough girl to me only with self esteem issues. Oh! Well now she looks more like me, very pretty.
