Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson and Girlfriend Allison Bridges Expecting a Child

Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson and his girlfriend Allison Bridges are expecting their first child.  The mommy-to-be may find no need for cosmetic surgery after giving birth, but many celebrities do.

Allison Bridges and Black Crowes lead singer Chris Robinson, 42, are reportedly expecting their first baby, due in early 2010. This arrival will be Robinson’s second child – after fathering Ryder Russell with actress Kate Hudson in 2004. Robinson and Bridges have been dating since 2007.

After giving birth, Bridges may not opt for any kind of cosmetic surgery for weight loss or body contouring — she may prefer natural methods of returning to a pre-pregnancy size. But, for many women, famous and unknown alike, pregnancy can be the beginning of a long series of physical changes that include plastic surgery.

While pregnant, women are prevented from having cosmetic facial injections, such as Botox, for safety reasons. But after delivery, a wide arena of procedures can be considered – including a breast lift, breast augmentation with implants, breast reduction, and liposuction. Many new mothers also undergo tummy tuck operations, since loose, sagging skin is a common side effect of weight loss after pregnancy.

Also, some mothers prefer to breast-feed their children, which can be a problem where cosmetic surgery is concerned. Although reality TV celebs Kourtney Kardashian and Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett both recently announced their plans to breast feed despite having implants, an Institute of Medicine study indicated that a breast augmentation of any kind makes a woman three times more likely to have an unsuitable supply of milk.
