Demi Moore says her age is costing her film roles. Will the actress try to cover up her age, or start going for different roles?
Demi Moore is still hot at 47, but she says she just doesn’t get offered the kind of movie roles she wants, and she blames it on her age.
“The frustrating part is that the type of roles I’d be interested in are not really coming to me,” Moore told W Magazine. “I hate to say it’s a function of my age — but yes, I think in some ways it is. The majority of [female] roles are geared between 25 and 35.”
Many entertainment bloggers contend that Moore has to have gone under the surgeon’s knife to stay looking the way she does, but in the August issue of French Marie Claire, Moore said she is 100 percent natural.
Plastic surgeons say it’s a combination of Hollywood magic and great bone structure. Dr. Toby Mayer of the Beverly Hills Institute of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery says often older stars purposely pose under heavy lighting or flashes to help conceal wrinkles.
“If you saw her in person, she would look like she had twice as many wrinkles,” Mayer told E!Online. “The makeup and the lighting is concealing the depth of the wrinkles.” The rest, he says is genetics…and maybe 31-year-old husband Ashton Kutcher. But, don’t call Moore a cougar.
“I’m certainly not the first person to be in a relationship with a younger man,” says Moore in W. “But somehow I was plucked out as a bit of a poster girl. I’d prefer to be called a puma.”
