Jessica Simpson Discovers The Price of Beauty

Jessica Simpson has a “WTF?!?” reaction on Twitter to her accommodations in Africa while filming her new reality show The Price of Beauty.

Jessica SimpsonSurrounded by mosquito netting in her accommodations in Uganda, Jessica Simpson posted a photo and caption on her Twitter account: “WTF?!? Do I really have to sleep like this?”

Simpson is traveling around the world for a new VH1 reality show, The Price of Beauty.

According to a statement from the network, Simpson’s show will explore “how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful.”  The singer is also set to visit Mumbai, India for the show, which is set to premiere sometime in 2010.

“I have always believed that beauty comes from within,” Simpson said in a press release. “And confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect,” she added.

Simpson, herself, took heat from the media in January when she appeared at a chili cook off in Florida wearing some ill-fitting jeans. Simpson responded with a Vanity Fair cover in June 2009, featuring the headline: “You call THIS fat? Jessica Simpson Pulls off the Mom Jeans and Fights Back!”

But, that doesn’t mean Simpson wouldn’t go to extremes to perfect other areas of her body to the American ideal. The sultry singer has been open about having had her lips injected with Restylane during her divorce to Nick Lachey.

Jess also said she wouldn’t get Botox because of her age, and denies having had breast augmentation, but hasn’t ruled out getting other work done in the future.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazzar she said, “Maybe after having kids, if my boobs dropped down to my belly button, I would get them lifted. Maintenance. But you know, my boobs are real.”
