Kathy Griffin To Host ABC’s ‘Let’s Dance’

Kathy Griffin will host ABC’s new celebrity dance competition show Let’s Dance, and the network has given viewers a heads-up on what’s to come.

kathy-griffin-emmy-2008Everyone’s favorite D-lister Kathy Griffin has found yet another way to stay in the spotlight. Griffin will host ABC’s new celebrity dancing show, Let’s Dance, which will feature celebrities re-enacting famous dance scenes from movies, musicals and music videos.

The show has a planned run of five episodes, and the winner will receive a $250,000 donation to their favorite charity.

“The competition will be hot — and hilarious — as teams of celebrities pay comedic homage to famous dances,” according to a statement from ABC Tuesday. “The show will include single dancers, duos and groups, all competing against each other to wow a panel of judges and viewers across America who will be voting each week leading up to the series finale.”

Griffin has kept her fame going after her sitcom runs with the reality show My Life on the D-List, awards show appearances, and by looking younger. Griffin went public in her new memoir about all the plastic surgery she’s undergone, including a nose job, face lift, Botox, eye lift, and a liposuction job that nearly ended her life.

“The funny thing is the lipo, which was more than 10 years ago, has nothing to do with it,” Griffin told People Magazine of her 115-pound bikini ready body. “I actually got into fairly good shape from yawn: diet and exercise.”

Let’s Dance will begin airing on ABC November 28.
