Kevin Federline too Fat, Joins ‘Celebrity Fit Club’

Kevin Federline’s fat is keeping him from starring in his own reality series. So, the former Mr. Britney Spears will join VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club to publicly shed his extra weight.

Kevin FederlineK-Fed is tired of the jokes about his weight, and he is ready to do something about it. Federline has officially signed on for the next season of VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, a show that teaches overweight stars about healthy eating and exercise.

He will be joining the cast alongside his ex, Shar Jackson, as well as Bobby Brown and former Baywatch star, Nicole Eggert.

Federline, who by some accounts has gained as much as 50 pounds in the last year, hasn’t had much to say about the excess weight he’s carrying. Ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson told USMagazine.com that he doesn’t care that he’s gained it, and recent photos of an oversized Federline poolside with his two sons indicate that he doesn’t mind the extra girth.

But, apparently VH1 does have something to say about K-Fed’s belly bulge. Since the former back-up dancer began angling for his own yet-to-be-named series on VH1 featuring him, his girlfriend, Victoria Prince, and his two sons with ex-wife Britney Spears, the network has added a weight-loss clause stating K-Fed has to drop 45 lbs.

While Celebrity Fit Club is a perfect opportunity to aide in Federline’s weight loss, he’s also been offered $2.5 million to try weight loss pills from a company called Extreme Physical Performance instead.

While diet and exercise are the healthiest way to lose weight, many people find that they can’t shed the last few pounds of fat, despite maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Liposuction is a popular option to eliminate love handles, and today, more men are choosing liposuction than ever before.

Men are great candidates for lipo, because the high elasticity of their skin means it will firm up quickly — leaving no unsightly loose skin. And, those who want to take the procedure a step further can have a procedure called abdominal etching, which creates the appearance of that elusive six-pack, and pectoral implants for improved definition.

Fans will have to wait a while longer to see whether the father of four will go from K-Fed to K-Fit and reclaim his previous hunky status: The new season of Celebrity Fit Club doesn’t premiere until February 14, 2010.
