Kim Kardashian Tape: A Mistake She Won’t Repeat

Kim Kardashian’s video of a dalliance with rapper Ray J is something she regrets, she told Cosmopolitan. But, the magazine did add her to their “Bad Girl Issue.”

Kim KardashianThe November edition of Cosmopolitan is the “Bad Girl Issue”, and it isn’t the world’s biggest surprise that reality starlet Kim Kardashian is on the cover. But, one topic of the interview was her regret for having made a sex tape with rapper Ray J that surfaced in 2007.

Most of her regret may be that their sex tape went public, as so many of them somehow do.

“I was devastated,” she told Cosmopolitan. “But when something negative happens, I pick myself up and move on, and I don’t make the same mistake twice.”

Ray J told talk show host Tyra Banks that they made the tape, which he called their own “reality show”, out of boredom while in Cabo San Lucas. The tape leaked, of course. And, when Banks asked the rapper how this happened, he simply said that not only did Kardashian have the original copy, but that they both later got royalties off copy sales.

But, as Kardashian told Playboy, the resulting publicity upset her and was a disappointment to her family, including stepfather Bruce Jenner.

“My step-dad wouldn’t talk to me for three weeks,” she said. “The stress that I know it put on my mom and my step-dad — just the whole family … if my dad were here to witness all of that, I don’t even know what I’d do. It’s just not worth it, basically.”

Kim Kardashian also thinks plastic surgery may not be worth it until reaching older age. Though, she has undergone non-invasive laser cellulite treatment, she has denied rumors of breast augmentation, lip implants, and butt implants. On her own blog, in October 2008, she made her feelings known about plastic surgery: Fine for some; not fine for her at this time.

“If you are considering plastic surgery, please, please, please know you can never ever change it back and you will never be the same,” she blogged. “That could be a very good thing or a very bad thing! Make sure you have thought long and hard and that the plastic surgeon is board-certified and has an amazing track record! Don’t ever take the cheaper way out! This is your body and ultimately your life!”

Kim had to learn the hard way about ‘indecently exposing’ herself, but she has solid advice for those considering plastic surgery.
