Miley Cyrus has her reasons for signing off Twitter. But, are they really her reasons, or did Miley’s boyfriend influence her decision to tweet no more?
Two million mileycyrus followers woke up this morning to find her Twitter account gone. Her last tweet: “FYI Liam doesn’t have a twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason.”
In the past, Miley has tweeted on such important topics as break-ups, getting strep throat, being called fat by the media, gay marriage, and kissing her Last Song co-star, Liam Hemsworth.
Mom Tish Cyrus has also reportedly quit Twitter for good, but 9-year-old sibling Noah is still active, posting tweets along with pictures of she and her friends, including one in front of a stripper pole at the Teen Choice Awards.
But, dad Billy Ray says the Twitter world needs her. He posted, “Miley. You are a light in a world of darkness. You were born ‘Destiny Hope Cyrus’ for a reason. You can’t leave everyone now. We r countin on u.”
With fewer hours in the day spent thumb-typing, Miley may have more time to ponder her next career move. Some have speculated that she may follow in fellow Disney star Ashley Tisdale’s footsteps and get rhinoplasty in the near future. Miley is also rumored to be considering a cosmetic procedure to correct a crooked smile and high gum line. As late as April 2008, there was speculation that she may have had some veneers put in, after showing off a more even, brighter smile.
Plastic surgery is definitely something Miley wouldn’t have been able to keep mum about. But, since she deleted her Twitter account, fans will just have to guess.
