New Moon actor Taylor Lautner recently shared a bizarre story with Jay Leno in which a fan asked to have her Team Taylor panties signed.
Famous actor or not, New Moon’s Taylor Lautner may be one of the few 17-year-olds in human history to have a female fan – old enough to be his mother – ask that he sign her underwear in public. He told Jay Leno the whole odd story on November 16.
“Excuse me, Taylor,” the forty-something woman reportedly asked, teenage daughter on site. “I’m wearing the Team Taylor panties right now. Is there any way I can take them off for you and just have you sign ‘em quick?”
Lautner said the woman’s daughter balked, to no effect. “Honey, don’t worry,” the mother told her. “This is what we do at these things.” Then security interrupted her, saying “No, ma’am. This is not what we’ll be doing.”
Later, on Leno’s show, football pro Jerry Rice showed up and tossed passes with Lautner. Doing this meant Lautner first stood up and took off his jacket, getting female audience catcalls.
The young actor had better get used to that, if he isn’t already. Lautner is getting all this rabid attention from women – older mothers included – for three basic reasons. First, he is in the movies, which never hurts. Second, he’s handsome. And third, when being handsome in the movies, Lautner also frequently has his shirt off.
The “eight-pack” stomach abs he shows are all-natural fruits of gym labor instead of liposuction, which an older actor might use. When it comes to catcalls, Lautner and New Moon co-star Robert Pattinson are attracting the kind of attention Tom Cruise got in younger years – but both guys are getting off to an earlier start. Lautner, earliest of all.
