Robert Pattinson says his Twilight fame is out of control. But, he isn’t the only Twilight star whose personal life is now covered daily by the media.
Almost overnight, Robert Pattinson went from a little-known British actor to Twlight’s Edward Cullen, a hunky teenage vampire. He says that is just the problem – girls are in love with Edward, not Robert.
“Girls scream out for Edward, not Robert,” Pattinson told Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald. “I still can’t get a date…To be honest, I still don’t really understand what’s going on. I was having lunch down the road. We were in this place for a couple of hours and suddenly there was like 400 people outside on the street. It was just so nuts and it’s like that all the time now.”
Pattinson isn’t the only one with this problem, as Kristin Stewart says the hit movie killed her social life. “The only way for me not to have somebody know where I went the night before is if I didn’t go out at all. So that’s what I’m trading,” she told Dennis Hopper in the October issue of Interview Magazine. Maybe that is why it’s rumored that the two stars have been cozying up to each other.
Rumors have also swirled that Robert Pattinson’s famous face isn’t all his. Although he was modeling by age 12, the work stopped coming in when he grew into a more manly look.
“When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modeling career,” he told New York Magazine.
It was after that, some suggest, that Pattinson had a rhinoplasty and jaw implants. But, rhinoplasty expert Dr. Paul Nassif disagrees, telling MakeMeHeal.com, “Doesn’t look like he has plastic surgery. His nose is wide and his eyebrows are very low.”
Pattison says he is much more comfortable with his performance in New Moon since his character is not a main role in this movie. But don’t worry, he still makes plenty of appearances.
