Shayne Lamas was arrested last weekend for suspicion of drinking and driving, but her first phone call wasn’t to her lawyer or parents.
Shayne Lamas, daughter of Lorenzo Lamas and finalist on The Bachelor London Calling, was picked up over the weekend on a DUI charge. And, her first call wasn’t to a lawyer, but her parent network, E!.
“I take full responsibility for my lack of judgment,” she told the network after she informed them of the charge. “I have always strived to be a role model for my friends, family and fans and have never nor will ever condone drinking and driving. I apologize for all those I have disappointed, including myself.”
Lamas insisted that she only had one drink, but was arrested at a mandatory checkpoint after she failed a breathalyzer test.
Shayne Lamas appears on the show with her brother A.J., half-sister Dakota and mother Michelle Smith. AJ made tabloid headlines after being accused of having an affair with former stepmom and playmate, Shauna Sands. Both former wives of Lamas have also had major love affairs with plastic surgery.
Shauna Sands, although only 36 years old, has had rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, Botox and lip fillers. Her sex tape, which was allegedly “leaked” to the press, debuted the day Leave it to Lamas was set to premiere on E!. Later it was revealed that Sand signed a contract to release the tape to Vivid Entertainment.
“Isn’t that convenient that her tape just happened to be leaked the day after my show premiered. I just feel bad for my little sisters,” Lamas said.
