Tila Tequila has accused boyfriend Shawne Merriman of battery and false imprisonment, following a reported altercation in San Diego. Merriman denies wrongdoing.
Tila Tequila is accusing San Diego Chargers linebacker boyfriend Shawne Merriman of battery and false imprisonment, according to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.
According to a department spokesman, reality show host Tequila – whose real name is Tila Nguyen – filled out a citizen’s arrest warrant accusing Merriman of choking her and preventing her from leaving his home after an argument. Sources at E! say the couple seemed to be “in good spirits” a few hours earlier at a nearby nightclub. No sources are reporting Nguyen as seriously harmed, but her representative declined to discuss her condition.
Merriman was released hours after his arrest; criminal charges are pending with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office. He later told FoxSports that he didn’t assault her, but rather restrained Tequila in trying to prevent her from leaving his home intoxicated.
“I was concerned about her welfare, given the intoxicated state she appeared to be in, and I encouraged her to stay until safe transportation could be provided,” he said.
Through good times and bad, Tequila keeps herself in the public eye, using her feminine wiles as her calling card. Aside from dating a linebacker and staring in her own reality show on MTV, Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, she regularly bares all in pics tailored for skin-lovers. To stand out in this department, she underwent plastic surgery, including breast augmentation.
“Real on the outside!” she said in an interview for Import Tuner, when asked about her larger breasts. “They’re fake, but they are proportioned to my body very well.”
Some might beg to differ, but it all depends what look you’re going for. Tila reportedly had her first breast augmentation at age 18, upgrading from a flat chest to a modest but well-proportioned B-cup. She has since kicked it up a couple of notches — all the way to a D-cup — which creates a less natural, more “enhanced” appearance. Still, her ample chest can’t be ignored, and in showbiz, it’s all about stretching your 15 minutes of fame to the max.
