Tila Tequila, reality and Internet star, has done a lot of things to grab the headlines, from posting naked rants to becoming a lesbian. But what’s behind her latest announcement may truly shock you.
Tila Tequila, whose real name is Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen, announced on her Twitter page December 20 that she was pregnant with her brother and his wife’s child, posting, “I am going to become a SURROGATE MOTHER for my brother and his Wife!!…That is my xmas present to them. I’m pregnant!!!”
The 27-year-old first gained notoriety on the popular social networking Web site MySpace, where she had more “friends” than anyone on the site at 1.4 million. She was discovered by Playboy scouts at a mall at age 18, and got her own reality dating show on VH1 in 2007. The show centered her bisexuality and featured male and female contestants.
She has admitted to having breast implants, but hasn’t said at what age she got them. Nguyen, who is a popular fixture of import car shows and magazines, responded to Import Tuner magazine’s question of “Real or Fake?” with: “Real on the outside! They’re fake, but they are proportioned to my body very well.”
Plastic surgeon Dr. Tony Youn agrees: “The roundness of her breasts on her tiny frame gives them away to me. I think they are probably small C’s and fit her body well.”
Nguyen didn’t provide any specifics on the due date or why she decided to become a surrogate mother. About a week ago she announced her engagement to Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson after their first date.
