Writers and Contributors for The Plastic Surgery Channel
Leslie Thompson, Executive Producer at The Plastic Surgery Channel, is a veteran journalist with more than 15 years’ experience writing about the medical and financial industries. Now, Leslie brings her knowledge of medical research, as well as her interview skills as a journalist, to deliver the latest consumer information from the world of plastic surgery. Leslie’s writing has also appeared in numerous consumer and trade magazines, including CURE, Registered Rep, SUCCESS Magazine, Neurology Reviews, Internet World and TICKER.
Leslie lives in Dallas with her husband Craig, two obese cats, and a Jack Russell Terrorist named Amazing Gracie.
Dr. William P. Adams, Jr., MD, a board-certified plastic surgeon with a private practice in Dallas, is an international authority on breast augmentation. He has developed new techniques for breast implant surgery that has made breast augmentation and breast reconstruction safer for patients, and he is active in educating other plastic surgeons around the country.
Before transitioning to private practice full-time, Dr. Adams spent his first 10 years in practice in the Department of Plastic Surgery UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he is presently an Associate Clinical Professor. Dr. Adams is committed to helping consumers be well-informed, as he has seen first-hand the difference this knowledge can make in a patient’s satisfaction after surgery. One way he fulfills this obligation is serving as the chief faculty advisor for The Plastic Surgery Channel.
Dr. Adams isn’t going to see this bio before it’s published, so we know he won’t censor us saying that he is a rock star in the Plastic Surgery community, lecturing his peers at prestigious conferences and creating gorgeous “after” photo ops.
Jenna Lang brings her broad range of writing experience to the position of Director of Creative Content at The Plastic Surgery Channel. Her work includes consumer-interest, instructional and creative copy for broadcast, print and web.
A regular speaker to women’s groups, Jenna believes the mission of The Plastic Surgery Channel to educate consumers can help them have realistic expectations and a healthier self-image. She loves creating pieces—shows, articles and features—that help women feel good about themselves. She is also willing to loan out her really cute shoes if it will help another woman feel better.
Bruce Lewis, author, blogger and artist, is one of the talented writers behind the scenes at The Plastic Surgery Channel. Bruce is a keen observer of popular culture, and the author of two books, the latest of which, Draw Manga: How to Draw Manga in Your Own Unique Style (London, Anova Books 2005) has been a consistent category bestseller on Amazon.com since its publication.
Bruce’s exceptional communication style—through both writing and storyboarding—makes him an invaluable asset to The Plastic Surgery Channel’s articles and shows. You can spot Bruce as a minor celebrity at comic conventions such as Comic-Con International and Anime Central.
Greg Russell has tackled everything from science and human interest stories to the Hollywood beat, and his writing has graced the pages of some of Texas’ foremost daily newspapers. Greg has written for The Plastic Surgery Channel since its inception, and his quirky sense of humor and engaging writing style bring distinctive flavor to the shows and informative articles on the network.
While Greg admits his first novel, Clean Living, is destined for an obscure drawer, we are eagerly awaiting the introspective characters of his second novel.
