Couples Retreat, a new romantic comedy set amid the waves and palm trees of a tropical resort, boasts a cast of all the A-level rom-com regulars.
Couples Retreat, a new romantic comedy opening next weekend, stars Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau, Kristen Bell and Kristin Davis, all playing frustrated spouses who shove off to a tropical resort to straighten out their relationships.
Hijinks, as they say, ensue in a comedy co-written by Favreau and Vaughn – and directed by none other than former child actor Peter Billingsley, who wanted a BB gun in A Christmas Story. “It may be paradise,” the poster reads, “but it’s no vacation.”
Among the primary cast, Davis is the oldest. This new comedy precedes the release of the upcoming Sex and the City sequel – a production that may have prompted Davis into cosmetic surgery.
There’s speculation that she received Botox injections, due to very recent photos that reveal a fresher face. “Kristin Davis does have smoother skin now when compared to her previous pictures – presumably due to Botox use,” surgeon Dr. David Shafer told MakeMeHeal.com.
If she did, surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif says, it likely wasn’t a generous portion.
“Kristin Davis looks great,” he told MakeMeHeal.com, adding, “Botox is a possibility, but if present it is minimal, as she still shows small signs of crow’s feet. Kristin is a beautiful woman and does not need to go to any drastic measures to stay that way.”
Come to think of it, all the Couples Retreat cast members look pretty good – which, for some, may make the comedy’s setting look less like a couples retreat and more like movie stars on a beach. The movie will be in theaters October 9.
