Daniel Radcliffe denies allegations that he was smoking marijuana – was he really only smoking a hand-rolled cigarette?
Daniel Radcliffe’s reps are waiving off rumors that the Harry Potter star was photographed smoking pot. A photo of Radcliffe with a joint and a huge mustache drawn on his face appeared on the front page of London’s Daily Mirror.
Fellow partier Wadia Tazi told the Mirror she was surprised to see the PG children’s movie star at the party. “He was really friendly and talking about his dad a bit. Then he pulled out a huge joint and lit up. Daniel said he loved it. He seemed happy that neither of us knew who he was.”
But, Radcliffe’s camp told E!News that Tazi is the one blowing smoke. “We categorically deny the allegations regarding Daniel Radcliffe published in today’s Daily Mirror. Daniel does smoke the occasional roll-up cigarette, but he was not doing anything more than this. We are considering our position and will be taking all necessary action in relation to such allegations.”
Since Harry Potter came out, Radcliffe has struggled to appear in other productions and projects as to not be typecast in his Harry Potter role, including a role in Equus on Broadway, where he appeared onstage nude. That exposure will no doubt make it very easy to tell if Radcliffe has any plastic surgery to up his looks later in life, since experts and celebrity blogs often rely on youthful photos of stars to determine if they’ve had any work done.
Radcliffe stars in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, coming out in 2010.
