Grey’s Anatomy is back for a sixth round, and fans are thrilled to see the return of plastic surgeon Mark “McSteamy” Sloan. So, have any cast members had a nip and tuck in real life?
Eric Dane is back as plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Sloan on the sixth season of Grey’s Anatomy, premiering September 24 on ABC.
Sloan, the so-called “go-to guy” for knife time, will continue performing reconstructive and cosmetic surgery while womanizing every chance he finds. It’s all part of his philosophy: “People don’t come to me to fix what’s on the outside. They come to me to fix what’s on the inside.”
As a ladies man and cosmetic surgeon, Sloan — also known as “McSteamy” — may have a good surgical reputation, but his reputation among women is questionable.
Also raising questions are reported ‘exterior improvements’ among some other members of the Grey’s Anatomy cast. Among the whispers, industry insiders speculate whether Patrick Dempsey, who plays Dr. Derek Shepherd, underwent a rhinoplasty during the course of his career.
Side-by-side comparison of photos from Dempsey’s younger days with more recent paparazzi pics illustrate a noticeable difference in the star’s nose, with the bridge and tip appearing much thinner. Although the actor hasn’t fessed up to the reputed rhinoplasty, he has admitting to using Botox injections to keep a young face — and they seem to be working well.
Meanwhile, Katherine Heigl, who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens, was rumored to have undergone breast augmentation. Although the speculation remains unsubstantiated, she reportedly told body-philosophy.net she wasn’t planning on getting surgery but wasn’t ruling it out.
“I guess it depends on the situation, depends on who you are, what you think about yourself, how important it is to you,” Heigl said. “I would never knock it because, who knows?”

Patrick Dempsey broke his nose when he was in his twenties, that’s why it looks so different. He did not have plastic surgery.
He was asked in an interview before and if he would have plastic surgery, it would be on his nose…
And he doesn’t use Botox. That was just a rumor a few years ago.
Probably because he made a joke about it and people took it seriously.
