Heidi Montag hasn’t been truthful about her experience with plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan. Now, Dr. Ryan is being frank about her experience and clearing his name.
In the week since Heidi Montag released photos of Heidi 3.0, the blogosphere has been abuzz. Some people think Montag has a disorder, including Dr. Drew Pinsky of Celebrity Rehab.
“Clearly there are body image issues, self-worth issues,” Dr. Drew told Access Hollywood.com. “I’m sort of disturbed that no one referred her for those kinds of counseling before they put her under the knife.”
Montag said she nearly died after the surgery, and that she is clearly not a surgery addict since she has only been under the knife twice in two years.
But Dr. Frank Ryan, the plastic surgeon who did Montag’s 2007 breast augmentation and rhinoplasty, says Montag is exaggerating the truth about nearly dying. Montag said following her procedures doctors “had to put oxygen on my face and call my plastic surgeon to come in for an emergency.” But Dr. Ryan told Access Hollywood, “That didn’t happen as far as I know.”
And, Dr. Ryan says, as long as everyone is counting, Montag had 30 procedures, not just 10. “I really call it 30 surgeries because if we’re gonna count Botox injections we should count every single injection, and both breasts, not just individually, you know so it’s two surgeries.”
But having that much done doesn’t mean someone is addicted to surgery. Dr. Ryan blames the addiction angle on the media, and says he expected it. “I knew going in, one of the angles was the ‘addiction angle,’ which is a media-driven sort of angle. That’s just not trueI mean again I do not, would never in a million years, and did not and would not operate on someone who’s addicted to plastic surgery,” he told Access Hollywood.
However, there are some discrepancies in his story. He claims Montag’s mom was thrilled with the work he did and wants a makeover of her own, while PerezHilton.com reports that Heidi’s mom is furious with her and will confront her on an upcoming episode of The Hills.
Montag has defended her decisions, saying the surgeries were a result of remaining competitive in the industry she’s in. She also released a music album this week, which bombed — the $2 million project, poignantly titled Superficial, reportedly has sold fewer than 700 copies.

She looks more like a non-passing drag queen with a “new” (masculine) jawline, inflated lips and t*@s and fake hair. She should have appreciated her god-given beauty (since she is so-called religious). Save your money honey or invest in counseling.
