Jane Fonda, considered at different times during the past 50 years to be a left wing traitor to America, a fitness fad leader, a conservative Christian and even a talented actress, credits plastic surgery for her youthful look — but says she’s now done for good.
Jane Fonda is now 71 years old and says she looks and feels pretty good for her age. She credits her looks, at least to some degree, to having had plastic surgery.
Fonda recently talked with the German magazine Bild about entering her eighth decade. She said she doesn’t want to be young again, but looks younger than she is due to good genes, a healthy lifestyle, an even healthier sex life and, yes, some plastic surgery.
She’s had breast augmentation and a face lift, among other procedures. But when she was 69, she chose to swear off any more cosmetic surgery. This came after a pact she made with actress Sally Field. At that time, Fonda said she wanted to give a face to aging, and that good enough is good enough.
We’re not supposed to be perfect, she said two years ago; we’re just supposed to be complete. Still, in her recent interview, Fonda admitted that as far as her looks are concerned, she still gives plastic surgery about ten percent of the credit.
