Jon Gosselin’s attorney says Hailey Glassman is going to jail for robbery, but Glassman’s attorney says it’s all a publicity stunt.
Someone stopped by Jon Gosselin’s house this Christmas, but if it was Santa, then Jon Gosselin was a very naughty boy this year. Gosselin was visiting his children for the holiday, and returned to his New York apartment to find his favorite Louis Vuitton shoes in tatters, electronics missing, furniture slashed, and a note pinned to the dresser with a butcher’s knife that called him a “cheater.”
Gosselin’s attorney immediately pointed the finger at ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman, who recently moved out after accusing Gosselin of pocketing thousands of dollars in back rent Glassman’s family had sent the couple.
Gosselin met Glassman during the reality star’s one-hour Jon and Kate Plus Eight plastic surgery special in which Gosselin and his then-wife got makeovers following the birth of their sextuplets. Kate Gosselin received a tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, performed by Glassman’s father, a plastic surgeon. Gosselin himself opted for a hair transplant, and both received teeth-whitening, all provided by their parent network, TLC. Following the couple’s breakup, Gosselin stayed with the Glassmans while he tried to sort things out.
However, Glassman’s attorney says the entire event was contrived by Gosselin himself, citing the fact that the media was waiting at the building when police arrived, saying that someone tipped off celebrity media outlet TMZ to the burglary. “It appears to be a huge publicity stunt,” Glassman’s attorney, Anand Ahuja, told Radaronline.com. “The police investigation is still ongoing and we are sure the investigation will reveal that someone is trying to frame Hailey.”
As of Saturday afternoon, no charges had been filed in the case.
