Katy Perry and Brit funnyman Russell Brand have set tongues wagging with a visit to a few children’s boutiques in London. And now, one gossip rag says the two are making it official.
Despite a courtship that only began in September 2009, singer Katy Perry and comedic actor Russell Brand are engaged to be married, according to Us magazine. The wedding date isn’t yet set, but gossip rag says it’s official, they’re definitely going to tie the knot.
“When he was filming Get Him to the Greek, I did a cameo with him,” Glamour magazine quoted Perry for its February issue. “My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I’m happy. I get a bit childlike.”
Added to this, there’s speculation out and around that Katy is pregnant with Brand’s baby. According to witnesses, quoted in the Daily Mail, the two were seen visiting a pair of children’s boutiques in London on January 10, fueling rumors. And when he appeared on GMTV in December 2009, Brand said he wouldn’t mind parenthood at all.
“I want to have children – that would be good,” he said. “I thought I was promiscuous, but it turns out I was just thorough, to get the right one. I’m ever so happy.”
Of course, none of this actually means Perry is pregnant. But it may have been telling when Perry recently posted this on Brand’s Twitter micro-blogging page: “I heard ur prego-ed.”
So it’s up in the air. Just as Perry’s erotic interests were up in the air when she released her hit single “I Kissed A Girl” – and just as her history of plastic surgery has seemed ambiguous. Comparison photos have indicated both breast augmentation and rhinoplasty on the singer’s part, though some doctors doubt the former.
“I have looked at several photos and YouTube videos and it seems to me that Kate has probably not had breast augmentation,” said plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden. “I believe her breasts are large, and one of the things I see in the photos is a natural appearance in the upper part, or cleavage area, of the breasts even when wearing a bustier. They have a tendency towards ptosis, or a natural sag that occurs over time in women with breasts that are C-cup or larger.”
But the nose job, Walden added, may actually have happened.
“In more recent photos the bridge of her nose appears somewhat thinner with a lifted, more refined tip,” Walden said. “This is hard to confirm, though, given limited photos on the web of her from years ago, or in youth. A different appearing nose also could just be the angle of the camera and/or stage makeup that varies according to the photos.”
Conclusion: Plastic surgery seems to have been a part of Perry’s past. But with an upcoming wedding planned, and a possible pregnancy, it may also be in her future.
