Kyla Weber, a 31-year-old real estate agent, has married actor Vince Vaughn following a Valentine’s Day proposal. Vaughn said the marriage marks a new stage in his life.
Having spent a few years embodying the kind of guy not cut out for marriage in movies such as Swingers and Wedding Crashers, actor Vince Vaughn has taken a turn for the nuptial.
On January 2, he married Canadian real estate agent Kyla Weber in Lake Forest, Illinois, during a private ceremony. It marks the first marriage for both Vaughn, 39, and Weber, 31, and follows Vaughn’s well-known romances with actresses Jennifer Aniston and Joey Lauren Adams.
“I’ve been very fortunate in my career, and my life has been about that for so long that you get bored of it,” Vaughn told People magazine in September 2009, discussing his proposal to Weber. “You’re ready for your life to be about other people and other things.”
That includes parenthood, Vaughn said. “It’s the first time that I really want to have kids.”
Neither Vaughn or Weber have any rumored stake in the zone of plastic surgery, though plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia stated in 2008 that Vaughn has reached a point where he might benefit from eyelid surgery. But Vaughn’s recent romance with Aniston is relevant to the subject. She had to endure rumors in 2007 – more of many – that she’d undergone breast augmentation right before or after breaking up with Vaughn as a way of making herself perkier. Aniston publicly denied this, simply citing weight gain in giving her a fuller bust.
“It’s called ten pounds,” she told Oprah Winfrey – also denying having broken up with Vaughn. “You’re either ‘Look at the bump!’ or pregnant when, instead, it’s like a couple cheese plates too many. You gain weight, and that’s where it goes on me.”
Still, the dust is long settled on that situation. Aniston went on to date musician John Mayer and model Paul Sculfor. And Vaughn, now nearing 40, now considering becoming a father, is fully spoken for, with a ring to show for it.
