Lauren Conrad Gets Movie Deal For ‘L.A. Candy’

Lauren Conrad’s book, L.A. Candy, landed the Hills star her first Hollywood movie deal. LC will also have the chance to weigh in on the film’s production, say studio execs.

lauren_conrad-1After 14 weeks on the NYT best seller list, Lauren Conrad’s expose of life on MTV’s The Hills got noticed – and in a big way. L.A. Candy, a fictional account of a young girl’s life on a reality show in Hollywood, has now been optioned by Temple Hill Entertainment for production as a full-length feature film.

Although Conrad is not taking screenwriting credits, she will serve as executive producer of the movie – and, the word is, she wowed Temple Hills execs with her ideas.

“Lauren came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion that was separate and apart from the book,” Temple Hill producer Marty Bowen told Us Magazine. “We loved her take. Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize, wow, this isn’t at all what I’d planned for myself.”

Also in the category of “things I didn’t plan for myself”? Plastic surgery. Lauren’s home-grown, girl-next-door look got a little tweak when fame came calling.

According to plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif, “After looking at several photos of Lauren Conrad, it does seem that in some photos her nose looks smaller and a little pinchedHer nose appears to look a little bit bulbous in one photo. So I think she might possibly have had a slight rhinoplasty, a very soft rhinoplasty.”

Could it have been the influence of The Hills love-to-hate-her Heidi? Mrs. Spencer Pratt has been more than open about her experiences, telling Us Weekly, “Right before I went in I was like, ‘What if I don’t wake up? Then I thought, ‘I don’t care.’ If I don’t wake up, it’s worth it. I just wanted it so badly.”

But, Conrad isn’t eying Pratt’s rack. She told People Magazine she is not interested in a boob job. “Big boobs?…That’s what Wonderbras are for!” However, with all the money she’s going to get for this new movie, a little and nip and tuck may be too hard to resist in the future.
