Lindsay Lohan could be kicking her bad habits without the help of father Michael Lohan, but will the starlet stick with the good behavior this time?
Michael Lohan has been appearing on shows like Maury Povich and talking to the media –pleading for his daughter to clean up her act, but Lindsay says she doesn’t need the dramatics.
“I have not spoken to my father, nor have I responded to his threatening and erratic messages over the last several months,” she tells Us of Michael. “It’s so sad that he needs to stay in the media spotlight by using my name and making up excessive lies.”
Michael Lohan has said he would like to set up a conservatorship over Lindsay’s affairs to protect her from her own destructive behavior. However, Lindsay seems to be doing well at controlling her antics on her own.
The starlet has been spotted twice at NYC hot spot Avenue, which previously had banned Lohan for bad behavior, including posting inside info on her Twitter account on what other stars were doing at the club. After her ousting, The New York Post reported that the star “besieged the management with calls and e-mails to let her back in, and she promised to be on her best behavior.”
The past two visits have been cordial, with Lindsay choosing not to partake in the partying and even refusing free drinks. Lohan’s probation from a 2007 DUI arrest was extended from three years to four after she skipped mandatory alcohol education classes.
Lohan may have quit partying, but she is still in the news. Bloggers and gossip magazines alike have been speculating on why she seems to keep getting lip injections. Although Lohan hasn’t commented, the star has been spotted twice in the past month with red, swollen lips, a side effect of lip injections.
Fans of Lohan’s may be hoping her change in behavior will result in bigger movie roles for the star. Her latest movie, Labor Pains, was a straight to DVD release.
