Lindsay Lohan Intervention: Publicity Stunt or True Concern?

Lindsay Lohan’s intervention is being arranged by her father Michael Lohan, but is the whole thing just a ploy for publicity?

lindsay-lohan-drunkInterventions are usually a surprise to the person who has the problem. But, Lindsay Lohan, the subject of an upcoming intervention by her family, got a big heads up when dad Michael Lohan informed the media that he was planning one.

But that’s okay, Michael told RadarOnline.com. To get Lindsay’s attention, you have to go big. “I had a conversation with her, her mother and everyoneover the next couple of weeks I’m going to be doing things in a pretty public way. But Dina has got to get on the same page with me. It’s a serious situation. You can’t just talk about it and tell me that you want to do an intervention and then do nothing.”

Michael says Lindsay is in big trouble with prescription drugs, abusing meds such as Adderall, Zoloft, and other anxiety and bipolar drugs. “When Lindsay doesn’t adhere or listen to what I say about serious situations, I feel I have to speak publicly to put pressure on her,” he told RadarOnline.com. “If she doesn’t take my advice and do what I say the more pressure I put on her, the more likely she is to eventually do the right thing.”

One thing they haven’t planned to intervene on is Lindsay’s obsession with plastic surgery. She had implants put in at age 17, and then another surgery to make them more natural. Lohan has also been rumored to have had a nose job, and is frequently spotted with swollen lips indicating lip injections.

All the trips to the doctor’s office have even rubbed off on little sister Ali Lohan, who at age 14, is suspected of having had lip injections. Plastic surgeon Dr. Tony Youn told Star Magazine, “Her upper lip is too large in proportion to her lower lip, and the borders of the lips are exaggerated. [Her lips] appear a bit overdone, and in my opinion, it would be a very unusual procedure for a 14-year-old.”

The Lohans should get Lindsay under control before they have to do two interventions.
