Megan Fox and sexy siren Angelina Jolie may be dueling for the title role in the remake of cult classic Barbarella. Will their ten-year age difference be the deciding factor?
According to The National Ledger, hot mom Angelina Jolie and sexy siren Megan Fox are reportedly vying for the title role in the remake of the cult classic Barbarella. In the original version of the film, a then silver screen ingenue Jane Fonda played the title character.
Many believe Angelina to be the obvious choice, but because of the current buzz surrounding Fox, she may bring in the big blockbuster bucks.
According to several reports, Jolie is really feeling the pressure to maintain her sexy, Tomb Raider looks. Although many would insist the actress is hardly lacking in the stunner department, rumors have sprung up about a possible face lift.
At a recent event, pictures of Jolie showed mysterious marks behind her ears, which generated plenty of speculation. Although some experts initially dismissed the scars as signs of an otoplasty, others aren’t so sure.
Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Paul S. Nassif told MakeMeHeal.com, “I don’t know what to say about Angiethe scars aren’t from pinning the ears back or having a mastoidectomy (ear surgery). The scars would be more suggestive of having a face lift, although it’s hard to say from these photos.”
Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden suggests, “She is only 33 and still very beautiful with healthy appearing skin. Incisions for a face lift are usually placed in front of the ear and around the ear crease. Her scar extends away from her postauricular sulcus in a position that would not typically be used for a face lift or an otoplasty so I doubt she’s had anything like this done.”
Scars or no scars, the Beowulf beauty would definitely fit Barbarella. Fans are hoping Jolie won’t let Fox’s popularity scare her away!

Actress Kate Beckinsale is also being considered. She has a body like Megan
Foxes (Kate’s body is natural) and Kate has the face of the young Jane Fonda (original actress os Barbarella). Kate is also famous for her acting in action films so pulling charisma to the film is something she can do (maybe as
well as Angelina? not sure about that one)
My vote: Kate Beckinsale
Other considerations: this film will be costly do they’ll need someone with
box office appeal. Megan did well with Transformers but a lot of that had to
do with people who went to see the movie because of the sci fi. When Megan did Jennifer’s Body that was more of a test of her box office draw and the conclusion is she doesn’t have enough appeal to open movies. Scary movies closer to Halloween have almost always done well, but Megan’s name was not enough to pull it through. Angelina can open movies but so can
Kate.
