Miley Cyrus showed off her first tattoo poolside after wrapping her U.S. tour this week. The teen queen had long petitioned her parents to let her get inked.
Miley Cyrus is just 17, but already she’s gotten a tattoo. Pictures of the teen queen surfaced from her Miami vacation at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami after the conclusion of her U.S. tour.
The Disney starlet has been bugging her parents for ink since she was 15, according to Star Magazine. “She’s trying to play her mom, Tish, against her dad to get one of them to agree to the tattoo,” her friend let slip to the mag in January. “So far, her mom is the one who seems more cool with the idea than Billy Ray.”
The proposed idea included the initals of her then-boyfriend Justin Gaston, an underwear model.
The tattoo seen in Miami was “Just breathe” written in script under the star’s left breast. Miley still would have to have gotten a parent to sign off to get the ink, but that likely wasn’t hard being that brother Trace and dad Billy Ray have matching tattoos. Trace has also talked about getting tattooed with Miley when she is old enough.
However, depending on how deeply Miley considered the tat before committing, tattoo removal might be in her future. Many older stars with maturity on their side have famously been inked and erased.
Johnny Depp had part of Winona Ryder’s name erased from his arm. Angelina Jolie got laser tattoo removal to completely expunge Billy Bob Thornton’s name from her body, and Charlie Sheen did the same with an ink tribute to former wife Denise Richards on his left wrist.
Hopefully, Miley considered her choice of words carefully.
