New Moon fans are not only screaming with excitement to see the movie, but they’re getting plastic surgery to look like characters Edward Cullen and Bella Swan!
New Moon mania takes hold of the U.S., as millions of fans stayed up, camped out and obsessed about the new film. At the L.A. premiere, located in Westwood near UCLA, fans blocked the streets and screamed all night long.
Most of the stars arrived in black limos with tinted windows, but Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart arrived separately and in cars with no tint, causing fan frenzy from blocks away. Some bloggers reported that the crowd was so hyped up, fans screamed when any car drove down the teen-lined street.
Some of the big stars, including Pattinson, Stewart, Dakota Fanning and Kellan Lutz, greeted fans, but not for long. Other celebs who showed included the cast of Glee, Jennifer Love Hewitt, 50 Cent, Jennie Garth, and also Twilight author Stephanie Meyer.
But, how far will teens go to for Twlight? One British paper says Twilight fans across the pond want to look like the main characters, Edward and Bella, and are paying to change their looks. Surgeons say fans are after the pale, flawless skin the “undead” in the movie have.
Mark Bury, of SurgiCare clinics in the UK, tells the Daily Star, “Patients are shelling out for Botox-enhanced cheekbones and jaw lines.” He says the craze has been coined the “forever flawless” look.
