Plastic Surgeon Hit With Civil Suits
A second civil suit has been filed against California plastic Surgeon Peter Chi. Dr. Chi currently has 64 criminal charges filed against him for sexually assaulting dozens of patients.
The criminal charges were filed on behalf of the state of California by the state district attorney for crimes committed against its citizens.
Whereas the civil suits Dr. Chi faces were filed on behalf of the victims by lawyers they have retained.
Civil courts can find that a plaintiff, such as Dr. Chi, owes reparation or restitution to the alleged victims, whether or not he is convicted of the crimes. This outcome is possible because the burden of proof and reasonable doubt is much stricter in criminal matters than it is in civil cases.
The two civil suits aren’t the only legal actions being taken against Dr. Chi. Recently, the Medical Board of California filed a complaint that his offices weren’t accredited for out-patient surgery, in an attempt to revoke his medical license.
Dr. Chi is out on bail of half a million dollars, and the Beauty Renewed Laser Skin Center in Tracy, California–of which he was medical director–is now closed and has a for sale sign on it.

I was a patient of Dr Chi I had a consultation about breast augmentation. During the visit I mention another plastic surgeon I also went to for other treatments. At that time Dr Chi told me not to tell the other surgeon that he was doing augmentations At the time I thought that was very strange. Wouldn’t other plastic surgeons no what other plastic surgeon were doing? The reason I now know is he was NOT licensed to do them…
