Plastic Surgery Talk Show Debuts Today

Plastic surgery continues to gain popularity in the U.S., despite the economic downturn. Now, a new talk show takes a fun and informative look at plastic surgery trends, new technologies, innovative products and urban legends.

plastic-surgery-talk-debutsNo longer an exclusive privilege of the rich and famous, plastic surgery is increasingly popular among the general population across America. In fact, last year doctors performed more than 10 million cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures in the United States, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Now, a new talk show takes on the trend, highlighting new products and technologies, and featuring fun interviews with some of the nation’s foremost plastic surgeons on the latest hot topics.

Hosted by Dr. William P. Adams, Jr., MD, Plastic Surgery Talk debuts today on The Plastic Surgery Channel, an online television network devoted to providing “edu-tainment” for viewers interested in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery procedures, as well as non-surgical cosmetic treatments. In the inaugural episode, Dr. Adams talks with Dr. Elizabeth Kinsley, MD, creator of the Natrelle Pre-Consultation Kit, a new product that lets women test drive a pair of sample breast implants at home. Several women who tried on the implants also share their thoughts about whether wearing the enhanced cleavage swayed their opinion about having breast augmentation surgery.

I would be very interested to know if your show ever interviews anyone who had extreme complications from a breast augmentation and lift. I write the blog listed above about losing my breasts to necrosis and subsequent dehiscence. The V.A.C. machine I had on for eight weeks healed me but my chest was heavily scarred and deformed. I have photos of most of what happened to me and would be happy to be on the show as a counterpoint.

I would like to stress that I am NOT anti-plastic surgery. I am very much against going CHEAP. I also advise against an anchor lift and implants at the same time.

Please email me above if you’d like to discuss this more.
