Prejean Sex Tape: Biggest Mistake Of My Life

Prejean sex tape controversy continues with Prejean’s admission that the tape, made when she was 17, has been her biggest mistake.

carrie-prejeanCarrie Prejean says the “sex tape” she made five years ago – now back to haunt her – isn’t a sex tape in the usual sense, since she is performing alone in front of the camera. It was something she made at age 17 for her boyfriend, who later released it. But today, the former Miss California USA calls this tape the biggest mistake of her life.

“I was a teenager at the time and never did I think it would ever come out,” she recently told Sean Hannity. “But it was bad judgment, and it’s embarrassing and it’s humiliating to be talking about this now on national TV, if you can imagine.”

The tape emerged while Prejean was in mediation with pageant officials about a lawsuit she’d filed against them. In August, she sued Miss California USA organizers after her June termination; the suit included accusations of libel, slander and religious discrimination.

The firing, organizers claimed, came after Prejean skipped a number of official events. And they countered with their own lawsuit, saying she underwent plastic surgery on their nickel – $5,200, actually – and still owed them money for her breast implants. But, Prejean and the organizers very recently arrived at a private settlement.

Legal details aside, the Prejean is vocal about the effect the erotic tape has had on her conservative image. And she feels her image is suffering hostile hits.

“Americans should not be attacked for their beliefs,” she told Hannity. “They should not be silenced. You know, we have the freedom of speech. And I was punished; I was fired. I was brutally attacked and [am] still being attacked. People are still trying to dig up things from my past.”
