Plastic Surgery Talk Show Addresses Breast Health

Plastic Surgery Talk viewers had plenty of questions about breast health during a recent roundtable discussion, from whether nursing is as good for moms as it is for infants, to how implants affect the detection of cancer. Plastic-Surgery-Talk-Breast-Health-RoundtableThis episode of Plastic Surgery Talk provided a forum for a group of viewers to ask some heartfelt questions about what often seems to be a woman’s defining attribute: breasts.

And, it’s no wonder breasts are “top of mind.” Breast implants are the number one plastic surgery procedure in America, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, and 70 percent of all babies are breast fed at one time or another. It’s clear: breasts aren’t just for selling beer.

How do a woman’s breasts change over the years, especially after pregnancy? Should a woman whose mother had breast cancer even consider implants? Does any kind of breast surgery affect how mammograms are done, or how often? Find out the answers to these questions and more are answered in this episode of Plastic Surgery Talk.
