Add Simon Cowell to the throngs of screaming teenage girls that count themselves on Team Edward. Cowell has reportedly offered the Twilight star a “blank check,” alleges TMZ, if Pattinson will sign on with his record label, Syco Records.  Syco represents artists who win his various talent competitions, such as America’s Got Talent and X Factor.

Pattinson has reportedly been reluctant to engage with Cowell because of his association with pop music. “Robert is reluctant to be turned into a pop star – and takes his music very seriously,” a source told the UK Sun. “He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell who is, of course, associated with X Factor and pop.” Besides singing, Pattinson has also played piano from age 3 and guitar since age 12. He even sang for some of the original Twilight soundtrack.

But could Pattinson be wary for another reason? Simon Cowell is a man of strong opinions, as illustrated on American Idol, and some people with no accountability to Cowell feel compelled to take his advice. Intimidating head chef Gordon Ramsay of Hell’s Kitchen got fillers in his laugh lines at Cowell’s urging–or heckling–against his own mother’s advice. “My mother said they were smile lines. I could deal with that at 21, but not 42,” Ramsay told the BBC. “Simon Cowell suggested now I’m a success in America, I should do something.”

And, an X Factor contestant got a complete makeover after a stinging critique of her look during her audition. Cowell told Katrina Lee, “I wish I could put your voice in another body.” So, she did, embarking on a total body makeover that included liposuction, facial laser surgery, dental surgery, intense exercise and a new hair color.

While it’s true that Simon Fuller, Cowell’s business partner, is involved in Pattinson’s upcoming Bel Ami project, that seems to be the only verifiable association.

So, whether the offer is simply a Sun legend or  he doesn’t need anyone else’s two-cents on his career, or wants to protect his music is unknown, but he is not accepting Cowell’s offer for now.

For a brief time, Robert Pattinson may have looked more Lloyd Christmas than Edward Cullen from the Twilight series. His Eclipse co-star Bryce Dallas Howard says the actor chipped a tooth.

Despite prior reports that Pattinson was unhygienic on the set of Eclipse and didn’t bathe very often, the actor says he got injured by being very hygienic.

“He told me this story that made me crack up,” Howard told E!Online. “He was like, ‘Oh, I have to go to the dentist.’ And I was like, ‘Oh no, what happened? Just a checkup?’ And he was like, ‘No, I chipped a tooth.’ And I was like, ‘How?’ And he was like, ‘Flossing.’”

Previous reports from Twilight saga crew members to E!‘s Ted Casablanca indicated quite the opposite. “He stinks. I mean, it’s awful. He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy,” a crew member said.

But even if Pattinson does neglect to shower, it’s no wonder he still takes care of his teeth. Reports from a Harris Interactive poll by RealSelf.com showed that if money was no option, the top cosmetic procedure chosen by both men and women is teeth whitening, with tummy tuck and liposuction coming in close behind.

But no worries Twilight fans, Pattinson got right to the dentist and his signature smile is back to normal.

New Moon mania takes hold of the U.S., as millions of fans stayed up, camped out and obsessed about the new film. At the L.A. premiere, located in Westwood near UCLA, fans blocked the streets and screamed all night long.

Most of the stars arrived in black limos with tinted windows, but Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart arrived separately and in cars with no tint, causing fan frenzy from blocks away. Some bloggers reported that the crowd was so hyped up, fans screamed when any car drove down the teen-lined street.

Some of the big stars, including Pattinson, Stewart, Dakota Fanning and Kellan Lutz, greeted fans, but not for long. Other celebs who showed included the cast of Glee, Jennifer Love Hewitt, 50 Cent, Jennie Garth, and also Twilight author Stephanie Meyer.

But, how far will teens go to for Twlight? One British paper says Twilight fans across the pond want to look like the main characters, Edward and Bella, and are paying to change their looks. Surgeons say fans are after the pale, flawless skin the “undead” in the movie have.

Mark Bury, of SurgiCare clinics in the UK, tells the Daily Star, “Patients are shelling out for Botox-enhanced cheekbones and jaw lines.” He says the craze has been coined the “forever flawless” look.

Famous actor or not, New Moon‘s Taylor Lautner may be one of the few 17-year-olds in human history to have a female fan – old enough to be his mother – ask that he sign her underwear in public. He told Jay Leno the whole odd story on November 16.

“Excuse me, Taylor,” the forty-something woman reportedly asked, teenage daughter on site. “I’m wearing the Team Taylor panties right now. Is there any way I can take them off for you and just have you sign ‘em quick?”

Lautner said the woman’s daughter balked, to no effect. “Honey, don’t worry,” the mother told her. “This is what we do at these things.” Then security interrupted her, saying “No, ma’am. This is not what we’ll be doing.”

Later, on Leno’s show, football pro Jerry Rice showed up and tossed passes with Lautner. Doing this meant Lautner first stood up and took off his jacket, getting female audience catcalls.

The young actor had better get used to that, if he isn’t already. Lautner is getting all this rabid attention from women – older mothers included – for three basic reasons. First, he is in the movies, which never hurts. Second, he’s handsome. And third, when being handsome in the movies, Lautner also frequently has his shirt off.

The “eight-pack” stomach abs he shows are all-natural fruits of gym labor instead of liposuction, which an older actor might use. When it comes to catcalls, Lautner and New Moon co-star Robert Pattinson are attracting the kind of attention Tom Cruise got in younger years – but both guys are getting off to an earlier start. Lautner, earliest of all.

Johnny Depp is 2009′s “Sexiest Man Alive,” if you believe People magazine, and those who do include a large part of the populace. Competition included Robert Pattinson, Ryan Reynolds, David Beckham and Bradley Cooper – and the list even found room for Robert Downey Jr.

But, it’s Depp this year, his second win, and the occasion brings rise to questioning the 46-year-old actor’s plastic surgery habits. No sources show that he’s has ever had any. He looks excellent, but he also looks roundabout his age. In 2007, Dr. Anthony Youn told MakeMeHeal.com that at some point, Depp possibly underwent a threadlift procedure – which is basically facelift-lite – but, it hasn’t been confirmed.

“That procedure has very limited results, so whether or not it was actually done we’ll probably never know for sure,” he said.

Youn added that a lot of celebrities have their best plastic surgery before they actually become famous. They get their most image-changing results at a time when no one yet cares what they look like.

“This is when the surgery usually stays secret,” Youn said. “There will always be something new and better on the horizon, and the stars will likely be the first ones to try it out.”

Of course, Depp has been famous for close to 25 years. It isn’t known if he’s had plastic surgery to keep his good looks for more than two decades. But if so, Depp has kept it secret for an admirably long time.

After months of anticipation, the cast of Twilight finally came out for the long-awaited premiere of New Moon, the next chapter in the Twilight saga.

Fans from across the country queued up as early as Thursday of last week to secure their chance for a place on the red carpet. Robert Pattinson wore Gucci to the premiere, while Kristen Stewart donned an Oscar de la Renta gown.

None of the reporters either asked or noticed what Taylor Lautner was wearing beyond “a blue suit,” presumably because they were just glad he had a shirt on. Lautner’s promotional photos from the movie have made female fans swooning since they were released, prompting Lautner to vow never to appear topless in a film again.

Lautner reportedly put on 30 pounds of pure muscle for the role in order to give his werewolf character, Jacob Black, eight-pack abs. It’s a look most guys can’t achieve in their wildest dreams, so much so that the Internet is filled with scam Web sites on the subject. However, if you don’t have the metabolism of a 19 year old, you can still get the look.

Abdominal etching liposuction is on the rise, but you can’t expect to get perfect abs with no work. “The best candidate for this plastic surgery has naturally athletic-looking underlying muscles that can be accentuated with abdominal etching. People who are liposuction candidates, with very localized, exercise-resistant fat deposits, can obtain additional improvements through abdominal etching,” says Dr. Munish K. Batra, a plastic surgeon in San Diego.

New Moon opens nationwide November 20.

“Robsten” may have blown their cover. After much publicized non-answers to the relationship questions, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were photographed at an airport in Paris holding hands as they crossed the tarmac.

Twilight co-star Peter Facinelli posted on his Twitter page about the incident, saying “Co-stars caught holding hands. Guess this picture proves everything.”

Stewart has repeatedly refused to comment on rumors of their relationship on recent press tours for New Moon, telling Entertainment Weekly , “I probably would’ve answered if people hadn’t made such a big deal about it. But I’m not going to give the fiending an answer.”

Pattinson has been more open about his feelings for Stewart, even if he hasn’t confirmed a relationship. He told Harper’s Bazzar in a November interview that Stewart was “a unique girl,” and that “You really don’t meet many people like Kristen.”

It’s been suggested that Robert Pattinson may have undergone some plastic surgery in the time between his Twilight breakout and his modeling days, specifically jaw implants and rhinoplasty, says The Insider. If Pattinson was going for sex appeal, science backs up his choice of improvement areas. A book called Survival of the Prettiest: The Science of Beauty suggests that women find strong jaw lines sexy because it’s a primitive indicator of strength and virility.

Pattinson has never confirmed having had any surgery; he has only said that his overly manly looks probably ended his modeling days.

New Moon premieres November 20.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner recently left LAX airport in Los Angeles – headed to Paris, France to promote New Moon, which opens November 20.

Not that New Moon needs much promotion. At this point, people would flock to see the movie even if it didn’t exist. But it does, and mega-stars Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner are carrying flags for the vampire drama, entourage handlers in tow.

These three are a constant staple in the media ring. However, the New Moon press tour means they’re out and about enough for even more people to examine them closely and scrutinize them as seen fit. All three celebrities are well under age 25, yet at least two of them are targets of rumors about plastic surgery.

Pattinson has been long speculated to have had rhinoplasty. Lautner, only 17, recently explained that his six-pack abs are natural – not the result of liposuction, photogenic as they may be.

“The actual getting-into-the-gym-and-working out process was easier, but the eating was harder,” Lautner said. “I had to eat every two hours. At one point, my trainer said, ‘Put anything in your mouth. Go to McDonald’s, get the biggest shake possible. I just need to get calories in you.’ Because my body fat at the time was only, like, 7.5 percent.”

Lautner had to work for his abs like anybody else, but he seems a bit sheepish about the attention his body gets. This means he likely won’t give too many New Moon interviews with his shirt off. His female fans can get that sight by seeing his new movie.

Taylor Lautner may really be a werewolf – after reporters at a New Moon press conference asked the actor about his love life, he nearly growled in response.

“What about us?” Lautner countered. “The very funny thing is that all of you have seen every single move I have made so I guess I can leave that up to you to decide.”

It could be that Lautner is especially sensitive to the issue after seeing what Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have dealt with from the media concerning their alleged relationship. The pair have done press conferences separately to avoid the inevitable relationship questions.

A source told the New York Daily News, “They’ve requested to do press separately for the movie. They really are good friends – and that’s all –  but they want to avoid being seen together. Any time they’re photographed in the same place, the rumor mill just starts all over again, and that makes the paparazzi hound them even more. They requested to do things apart so the scrutiny around them will be a little less intense.”

For her part, Taylor Swift made light of the rumors in her monologue song on Saturday Night Live, singing to the audience, “If you’re wondering if I might/ Be dating the werewolf from ‘Twilight’/ I’m not gonna comment on that/ In my monologue,” after which Swift blew a kiss into the camera and mouthed “Hi Taylor.”

The pair became rumor mill fodder after taping kissing scenes for the upcoming movie Valentine’s Day, in which the pair plays a high-school couple.

Swift, who turns 20 this year, may be handling fame a little better than Lautner due to the fact that she has been a signed musical artist since age 13. Lautner recently rose to fame as his character took on a leading role in New Moon, the sequel to Twilight.

Lautner caused a fan frenzy after promotional photos for the movie were released showing Lautner’s six-pack abs. The actor confirmed that he had put on 30 pounds for the role and had not had ab-sculpting or ab-shaping liposuction to get the sought-after look. He also said he would not be taking more shirtless movie roles. “If I had to choose, I would never take my shirt off again in a movie,” Lautner told AceShowbiz.com. “But I guess that’s not very realistic. I certainly won’t be asking to do it, though.”

Kristen Stewart says she is tired of the prying and won’t answer any more questions about her alleged relationship with Twilight and New Moon co-star Robert Pattinson.

Us Magazine reports that the pair spent the night together at LA’s infamous Chateau Marmont on October 29.

But, as for Stewart, she isn’t talking about anything. “I probably would’ve answered it if people hadn’t made such a big deal about it,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “But I’m not going to give the fiending an answer.”

“There’s no answer that’s not going to tip you one way or the other,” she continues. “Think about every hypothetical situation: ‘Okay, we are. We aren’t. I’m a lesbian.’”

Stewart also told the magazine she would have responded the same way if they had asked her about her relationship with Taylor Lautner, whose abs may well be the biggest star of the upcoming New Moon.

No liposuction here – Lautner got his abs the old fashioned way. Maybe that’s why cardboard cutouts of the shirtless star have been stolen from malls and stores promoting the Twilight clothing line.
