New Moon mania takes hold of the U.S., as millions of fans stayed up, camped out and obsessed about the new film. At the L.A. premiere, located in Westwood near UCLA, fans blocked the streets and screamed all night long.

Most of the stars arrived in black limos with tinted windows, but Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart arrived separately and in cars with no tint, causing fan frenzy from blocks away. Some bloggers reported that the crowd was so hyped up, fans screamed when any car drove down the teen-lined street.

Some of the big stars, including Pattinson, Stewart, Dakota Fanning and Kellan Lutz, greeted fans, but not for long. Other celebs who showed included the cast of Glee, Jennifer Love Hewitt, 50 Cent, Jennie Garth, and also Twilight author Stephanie Meyer.

But, how far will teens go to for Twlight? One British paper says Twilight fans across the pond want to look like the main characters, Edward and Bella, and are paying to change their looks. Surgeons say fans are after the pale, flawless skin the “undead” in the movie have.

Mark Bury, of SurgiCare clinics in the UK, tells the Daily Star, “Patients are shelling out for Botox-enhanced cheekbones and jaw lines.” He says the craze has been coined the “forever flawless” look.

Famous actor or not, New Moon‘s Taylor Lautner may be one of the few 17-year-olds in human history to have a female fan – old enough to be his mother – ask that he sign her underwear in public. He told Jay Leno the whole odd story on November 16.

“Excuse me, Taylor,” the forty-something woman reportedly asked, teenage daughter on site. “I’m wearing the Team Taylor panties right now. Is there any way I can take them off for you and just have you sign ‘em quick?”

Lautner said the woman’s daughter balked, to no effect. “Honey, don’t worry,” the mother told her. “This is what we do at these things.” Then security interrupted her, saying “No, ma’am. This is not what we’ll be doing.”

Later, on Leno’s show, football pro Jerry Rice showed up and tossed passes with Lautner. Doing this meant Lautner first stood up and took off his jacket, getting female audience catcalls.

The young actor had better get used to that, if he isn’t already. Lautner is getting all this rabid attention from women – older mothers included – for three basic reasons. First, he is in the movies, which never hurts. Second, he’s handsome. And third, when being handsome in the movies, Lautner also frequently has his shirt off.

The “eight-pack” stomach abs he shows are all-natural fruits of gym labor instead of liposuction, which an older actor might use. When it comes to catcalls, Lautner and New Moon co-star Robert Pattinson are attracting the kind of attention Tom Cruise got in younger years – but both guys are getting off to an earlier start. Lautner, earliest of all.

After months of anticipation, the cast of Twilight finally came out for the long-awaited premiere of New Moon, the next chapter in the Twilight saga.

Fans from across the country queued up as early as Thursday of last week to secure their chance for a place on the red carpet. Robert Pattinson wore Gucci to the premiere, while Kristen Stewart donned an Oscar de la Renta gown.

None of the reporters either asked or noticed what Taylor Lautner was wearing beyond “a blue suit,” presumably because they were just glad he had a shirt on. Lautner’s promotional photos from the movie have made female fans swooning since they were released, prompting Lautner to vow never to appear topless in a film again.

Lautner reportedly put on 30 pounds of pure muscle for the role in order to give his werewolf character, Jacob Black, eight-pack abs. It’s a look most guys can’t achieve in their wildest dreams, so much so that the Internet is filled with scam Web sites on the subject. However, if you don’t have the metabolism of a 19 year old, you can still get the look.

Abdominal etching liposuction is on the rise, but you can’t expect to get perfect abs with no work. “The best candidate for this plastic surgery has naturally athletic-looking underlying muscles that can be accentuated with abdominal etching. People who are liposuction candidates, with very localized, exercise-resistant fat deposits, can obtain additional improvements through abdominal etching,” says Dr. Munish K. Batra, a plastic surgeon in San Diego.

New Moon opens nationwide November 20.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner recently left LAX airport in Los Angeles – headed to Paris, France to promote New Moon, which opens November 20.

Not that New Moon needs much promotion. At this point, people would flock to see the movie even if it didn’t exist. But it does, and mega-stars Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner are carrying flags for the vampire drama, entourage handlers in tow.

These three are a constant staple in the media ring. However, the New Moon press tour means they’re out and about enough for even more people to examine them closely and scrutinize them as seen fit. All three celebrities are well under age 25, yet at least two of them are targets of rumors about plastic surgery.

Pattinson has been long speculated to have had rhinoplasty. Lautner, only 17, recently explained that his six-pack abs are natural – not the result of liposuction, photogenic as they may be.

“The actual getting-into-the-gym-and-working out process was easier, but the eating was harder,” Lautner said. “I had to eat every two hours. At one point, my trainer said, ‘Put anything in your mouth. Go to McDonald’s, get the biggest shake possible. I just need to get calories in you.’ Because my body fat at the time was only, like, 7.5 percent.”

Lautner had to work for his abs like anybody else, but he seems a bit sheepish about the attention his body gets. This means he likely won’t give too many New Moon interviews with his shirt off. His female fans can get that sight by seeing his new movie.

Taylor Lautner may really be a werewolf – after reporters at a New Moon press conference asked the actor about his love life, he nearly growled in response.

“What about us?” Lautner countered. “The very funny thing is that all of you have seen every single move I have made so I guess I can leave that up to you to decide.”

It could be that Lautner is especially sensitive to the issue after seeing what Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have dealt with from the media concerning their alleged relationship. The pair have done press conferences separately to avoid the inevitable relationship questions.

A source told the New York Daily News, “They’ve requested to do press separately for the movie. They really are good friends – and that’s all –  but they want to avoid being seen together. Any time they’re photographed in the same place, the rumor mill just starts all over again, and that makes the paparazzi hound them even more. They requested to do things apart so the scrutiny around them will be a little less intense.”

For her part, Taylor Swift made light of the rumors in her monologue song on Saturday Night Live, singing to the audience, “If you’re wondering if I might/ Be dating the werewolf from ‘Twilight’/ I’m not gonna comment on that/ In my monologue,” after which Swift blew a kiss into the camera and mouthed “Hi Taylor.”

The pair became rumor mill fodder after taping kissing scenes for the upcoming movie Valentine’s Day, in which the pair plays a high-school couple.

Swift, who turns 20 this year, may be handling fame a little better than Lautner due to the fact that she has been a signed musical artist since age 13. Lautner recently rose to fame as his character took on a leading role in New Moon, the sequel to Twilight.

Lautner caused a fan frenzy after promotional photos for the movie were released showing Lautner’s six-pack abs. The actor confirmed that he had put on 30 pounds for the role and had not had ab-sculpting or ab-shaping liposuction to get the sought-after look. He also said he would not be taking more shirtless movie roles. “If I had to choose, I would never take my shirt off again in a movie,” Lautner told AceShowbiz.com. “But I guess that’s not very realistic. I certainly won’t be asking to do it, though.”

Taylor Swift worked double-duty on her stint as Saturday Night Live musical guest and host this past weekend, performing two songs and participating in a number of skits.

Fans and those who saw the Kanye West VMA microphone hijack got a laugh during Swift’s monologue song when she quipped, “You might be expecting me to say/ Something bad about Kanye/ And how he ran up on the stage/ But there’s nothing more to say/ ‘Cause everything’s OK/ I’ve got security lining the stage.”

And Twilight fans got a nod when she referenced her media-rumored boyfriend Taylor Lautner, singing “If you’re wondering if I might/ Be dating the werewolf from ‘Twilight’/ I’m not gonna comment on that/ In my monologue,” mouthing a “Hi Taylor” into the camera.

Swift was featured in skits parodying Jon and Kate Plus Eight, Twilight, and Colombian singer Shakira, who also has curly blonde hair.

Unlike some of her country music counterparts, including American Idol’s Kelly Pickler, Swift has had no plastic surgery. Even though Pickler is just 22 years old, during the fifth season of American Idol the hopeful country music star debuted a bigger cup size on one memorable episode that even had host Ryan Seacrest asking questions, but Pickler wouldn’t fess up to anything, saying she loved the attention and wanted to drag it out as long as she could.

“I’m a girl that likes to be the center of attention, and right now I am, so I feel like maybe I should let the mystery live on,” said Pickler in the May 28 issue of OK!. “If I say yes or no, nobody’s going to care anymore.  I’m going to keep playing this game with everybody.”

In addition, photos from earlier this year showed Pickler with a wide-eyed new look that suggested Botox and lip fillers, but reps for Pickler told In Touch that she hasn’t had any sort of “facial surgery.”

Kristen Stewart says she is tired of the prying and won’t answer any more questions about her alleged relationship with Twilight and New Moon co-star Robert Pattinson.

Us Magazine reports that the pair spent the night together at LA’s infamous Chateau Marmont on October 29.

But, as for Stewart, she isn’t talking about anything. “I probably would’ve answered it if people hadn’t made such a big deal about it,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “But I’m not going to give the fiending an answer.”

“There’s no answer that’s not going to tip you one way or the other,” she continues. “Think about every hypothetical situation: ‘Okay, we are. We aren’t. I’m a lesbian.’”

Stewart also told the magazine she would have responded the same way if they had asked her about her relationship with Taylor Lautner, whose abs may well be the biggest star of the upcoming New Moon.

No liposuction here – Lautner got his abs the old fashioned way. Maybe that’s why cardboard cutouts of the shirtless star have been stolen from malls and stores promoting the Twilight clothing line.

New Moon releases November 20.

On a press tour for New Moon, Kristen Stewart told Blackbook, “I don’t want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie. Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable. I’m an actor. It’s bizarre to me that everybody’s so obsessive.”

The Twilight star has complained that her role in the movie has made going out impossible, and that she hates that everything she does ends up on the cover of a tabloid.

As the cast tours internationally for the film, it’s obvious no place on Earth is immune from New Moon mania. A Halloween weekend stop in Brazil had police setting up barricades outside the hotel where Stewart and co-star Taylor Lautner were staying to control mobs of fans. Robert Pattinson was swarmed by fans just minutes off the plane.

Adding to the fan frenzy, dating rumors have swirled about the headliners, but they say it’s nothing but rumors. “It doesn’t make any difference what you say. I’ve literally been across the country [from Kristen] and it’s like, ‘Oh, they were on secret dates!’ It’s like, ‘Where? I can’t get out of my hotel room!’” Pattinson told Vanity Fair.

The film’s director says any attraction the pair has is due to what was needed to make the film believable. “What Rob and Kristen had is a multitude of feelings for each other. Complex feelings for each other. It was what we needed. Complete, intense fascination,” Catherine Hardwicke, director of the first Twilight movie, told the magazine.

Still, if Stewart maintains her current attitude about being a celebrity — richly mixed feelings, at best — then she likely won’t be prone to behave like a celebrity as years add up. She may join the crowd populated by Cate Blanchett and few others: shunning plastic surgery, choosing the stage as often as possible, maybe almost longing to be ignored.

Model AJ English, stands next to country music singer Taylor Swift sporting a shirt with a swastika on it. Whether this was unbeknownst to the star –or not – is up for debate the morning after Katy Perry’s huge birthday bash.

Guests to Perry’s party were told to wear all white, and then the birthday girl announced that everyone would be painted with neon paint for the Willy Wonka themed event. English told the UK Daily Mail that his polo shirt design started out as an “x” and was “perverted” later in the night. This morning the model tweeted a message to Swift: “Front page of TMZ…. sorry Taylor…”

Adding to the controversy is the letters on Swift’s dress – J H – which she explained as an exchange of initials with fellow country music singer Julianne Hough. But, the Daily Mail says it “often stands for ‘Jew Hater.’” In Swift’s defense, Hough could be seen in photos leaving the party with Swift, and sported Swift’s initials on each leg of her white jeans.

Swift seemed unaware of the problem with the photo until this morning. A single tweet about the night simply stated: “Katyperry[sic] knows how to throw a birthday party! I would even go as far as to say it was party-licious. Best EVER. Happy bday, pretty girl!!” Her reps later told TMZ that she had taken photos with about 100 people and that Swift “doesn’t know who this guy is and she didn’t realize what was on his shirt.”

Although Swift has been a hot topic in the news since the MTV VMA’s, one thing she hasn’t made news for is getting plastic surgery. While other stars her age indulge in breast augmentation, lip injections and nose jobs, the consensus on Swift is that she has not–and doesn’t need to–have anything done to look better than she already does.

Swift is currently on a tour for her new album, and is rumored to be dating Valentine’s Day co-star Taylor Lautner.

After smooching on the set of Valentine’s Day, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner are now getting some quality time away from work.

The couple has been spotted around each other but not obviously together, such as at Swift’s October 9 concert in Chicago, where Lautner was spotted on the front row.

This past Sunday, the pair was spotted at a hockey game at L.A.’s Staples center, and Us Weekly reports that the couple checked into a hotel afterward.

Still, the L.A. Times contends it’s all a publicity stunt to get people talking about their new movie, Valentine’s Day.

People are also talking about the couple because of their too-perfect looks. After Lautner finished filming New Moon, set to release November 20, there was talk of plastic surgery hijinks to get his body in superhuman shape for the werewolf role. Later Lautner revealed he put on 30 pounds of muscle for the role, and had not had a liposuction procedure known as ab shaping done.
