Rachel Uchitel, a 34-year-old nightclub promoter from New York, recently rumored as the mistress of married golf pro Tiger Woods, is a remarkable study in contrasts. She was first seen years ago during coverage of the September 11 attacks – a panicked woman trying to find her fiancé Andy O’Grady, who disappeared after a plane felled the second tower of the World Trade Center.

Since then, life for her has gone on, indeed – most notably with a series of romance rumors. Her conquests have reportedly included the rich and famous. And, though Uchitel has been often seen in public with guys who seem to fit at least part of that bill, she does deny rumors of an affair with Woods.

She recently told The News of the World that she visited Woods in Australia and even stayed in the same hotel, but did nothing untoward.

“Despite it being completely untrue, it still must have certainly caused some problems at home – if I was his wife, I probably would have killed him,” Uchitel told The News of The World. “This is nothing to do with me. The claims are completely false. We have never had an affair, talked on the phone or sent any type of text, sexy or not. I’m really upset about it because I’m being portrayed as a home-wrecker, when it simply isn’t true.”

Uchitel may be right, but numerous online photos explain why she’d be so appealing to men in fame’s top shelf. The word “trophy” is hard to avoid; she has long hair, full lips – and, to paraphrase author Thomas Harris, a figure that’s almost a caricature of puberty, formed of thrilling curves.

Her lips do suggest lip injections, and her chest suggests breast augmentation. Uchitel would likely deny rumors of plastic surgery, just as she has denied other rumors. But, in all cases, she may be telling the truth.
