Tiger Woods’ 911 call drew even more attention to him, although the person visiting the hospital was his mother-in-law.
Sources show that Barbro Holmberg, mother-in-law to Tiger Woods, needed medical transport from the golfer’s Florida home early on December 8. The problems began around 2:30 a.m. Reportedly Holmberg was suffering stomach pain – and though she refused transport at first, she was soon listed as an advanced life support patient at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida. This is the same hospital that treated Woods after his infamous Cadillac accident on November 27.
Latest reports deem Holmberg to be in stable condition. What caused the stomach pain isn’t clear. Holmberg had been visiting the Woods residence to spend time with daughter Elin Nordegren, the golfer’s wife. Nordegren has recently been deluged with rumors of her husband’s infidelity with several women. The list includes waitress Mindy Lawton, nightclub promoter Rachel Uchitel, model Jamie Jungers, clubber Cori Rist, nightclub manager Kalika Moquin and Jaimee Grubbs, a cocktail waitress who underwent breast implants in hopes of hitting Playboy pages.
The ongoing Tiger Woods controversy recently included a report that Nordegren, who is Swedish, recently purchased a $2 million hideaway in her homeland. That detail has triggered rumors that she may be living there indefinitely, away from husband Woods. The golf star has been the target of the most negative of the media’s pounding, but Nordegren hasn’t escaped notice, either. The 29-year-old was the focus of a December 2 post on MakeMeHeal.com, raising questions about her apparent plastic surgery. Surgeons Dr. David Shafer, Dr. John Di Saia and Dr. Paul Nassif shared their varying opinions.
“Elin appears to be a natural beauty with no indications that she has had any surgical interventions,” Dr. Shafer said, while Dr. Di Saia speculated about breast implants. Dr. Nassif seemed to fall on both sides.
“Tiger Woods’ wife may have had rhinoplasty at some point in her life as her nose is very straight and perky,” he said. “Facial fillers are a possibility as well. But overall, she appears natural and has a very elegant look. She would not benefit from any additional work at this time.”
At her age, Nordegren likely doesn’t need cosmetic surgery to turn back the clock. But odds are strong that she and everyone else mixed in the current Woods mess would like to turn it back and behave a little differently or turn it forward to a time when the controversy is long forgotten.
