Lady Parts Rejuvenated

Thermiva is taking a bold step to improve love lives and build self-esteem. The new technology uses radio frequency to tighten the vaginal wall.

While ThermiVa waits for FDA approval to be used for vaginal tightening, board certified plastic surgeons including Christine Hamori, MD are confident this is a way to reduce vaginal dryness, urinary leakage and improve a woman’s ability to have an orgasm. Hamori is a Boston area board-certified plastic surgeon, recognized for her delicate skill in cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures.

How ThermiVa Works

A non-surgical radiofrequency energy transfers heat directly to the vaginal region, allowing external and internal looseness to be treated with a tightening method. The radio frequency generator, made by Thermi Aesthetics powers an “S” shaped hand piece with a tip which is able to control the level of heat delivered.

The pilot study underway in Laguna Beach, California is led by gynecologist, Dr. Red Alinsod. He serves as the Chairman of ThermiAesthetics Women’s Health Advisory Clinical Board and developed ThermiVa.

“This pilot study is showing marked improvement in a woman’s ability to have an orgasm and feel more confident, especially if they are noticing droopiness or having urinary incontinence,” says Hamori. She’s been performing vaginal rejuvenation on women for more than 15 years.

Who Benefits From ThermiVa?

Women in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s are all viable candidates particularly if they are experiencing or nearing menopause and noticing a drop in estrogen. Hormonal fluctuations can cause dryness and urinary tract infections. The radio frequency device in some ways turns back the clock by stimulating collagen.

“Once this technique is approved, I really think it’s going to ‘take off’,’” says Hamori.

Labiaplasty in Conjunction With ThermiVa

New statistics from the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery are noticing a 49% increase in the number of women seeking labiaplasty to help reduce the size and improve the appearance of the labia.

This makes labiaplasty only second to fat augmentation of the buttocks in 2014.

“Some women may want to have ThermiVa treatments in conjunction with labiaplasty for a full vaginal rejuvenation.”

ThermiVa Treatment Focus

Clinical Trials

ThermiVa is pending FDA approval for vaginal tightening indication and patent pending with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The ThermiVa Vaginal Laxity Study with radio frequency therapy is being conducted to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of an FDA cleared device using an investigational protocol to help reduce vaginal laxity and looseness. The study involves 3 monthly treatments, phone call follow-ups, and 5 additional visits to the treatment site.
