New Information and Uses for Facial Fillers

In this PSC Round Table, board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Mark D. Epstein of New York, Dr. James Namnoum of Atlanta, and Dr. John Q. Cook of Chicago take a fresh look at facial fillers, the array of products used to temporarily restore volume in the face. It is often thought that gravity pulling on the face is why it seems to fall and sag over time. While the force of gravity certainly plays a roll, the reason a face looks “old” isn’t because it’s sagging, but because it lost volume. Facial fillers are a non-surgical procedure to address this lack of volume and pump it back up, adding a plumpness back to the face that is seen as youthful.
