Getting your bikini body ready in time for summer can be tough!  Sometimes diet and exercise isn’t enough to shed that belly pouch.  Luckily, there are plenty of procedures that plastic surgeons can perform in order for you to confidently flaunt your new swimsuit.

Reality TV star, Kate Gosselin has given birth to sextuplets and twins, so it’s no wonder why this mother of eight  struggled to get a fit stomach.  During her workout regime she made the decision to undergo a tummy tuck and speed up the process of regaining her hot bod.  It’s a decision she is proud to have made.  “I’ve worked really hard! Haven’t I earned the right, at this point, to look good?” says Gosselin.

Loose the Fat!

The tummy tuck procedure is meant for repairing muscles beneath the fat and skin of the abdomen and getting rid of overly stretched skinDr. Louis P. Bucky, a board certified plastic surgeon from Philadelphia, explains “the best candidates for tummy tucks are moms who are done having children, whose skin is stretched out and has a lot of lax skin and stretch marks.  It’s also for someone who has lost weight and has stretched skin that needs surgery to have that skin removed.”  In some cases there are even patients who genetically have an abdominal pooch.

A Less Invasive Option…

Of course, sometimes it’s just a little flab that you would prefer to loose without having to go under the knife.  If that is your issue, it might be best to try CoolSculpting fat removal.  It is a non-invasive procedure using a device that pulls skin and fat into an applicator between two chill plates.  The fat tissue reacts with an inflammatory response, which kills fat cells.  About 25% of the cells in the treated area die, are slowly broken down, then carried away and removed by the liver. It can take up to 3 months to see the final results.

Making the Right Choice Together

It is highly recommended that when choosing the right surgery, you speak with a board certified plastic surgeon.  Together you can find out which procedure will result in you turning heads at the beach this summer!
