Adam Hamawy, MD
A true surgeon’s surgeon, before becoming a plastic surgeon, Dr. Adam Hamawy was a combat trauma surgeon in the U.S. Army and served a tour of duty in Iraq. His experience with combat casualties led him to pursue plastic surgery where there was an intense need not only to save lives but to restore them to make back to normal. He was attracted to the meticulous attention to detail required to achieve the most natural -looking reconstructions and cosmetic results. After almost a decade in the military and shaped by these unique and varied experiences, he practiced in New York City before moving back to his native New Jersey and established Princeton Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Hamawy trained with some of the foremost surgeons in the world first in general surgery at Cornell’s New York Presbyterian Hospital then later as a plastic surgeon at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is dedicated to the pursuit of youth and beauty and continues to practice and teach the art of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He has been selected by his peers as one of New Jersey Monthly’s “Top Doctors”. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is a board member of the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Hamawy has a special interest in facial rejuvenation, fast-recovery breast augmentation, body contouring and migraine surgery.
